Daycare Photo Journal
October 2007:
September was a big month for us around here, and I'm happy to report
that we survived it. A little ragged around the edges, a little bleary
from lack of sleep, but we're all still here. We had the biggest jump in
the average number of daycare dogs per day ever (from 48 to 55), the
most daycare dogs on one day ever (77) and all of our classes filled and
overfilled so much that we added two extra classes (122 students this
session). These are good problems to have, but in
small business school, I learned that the #1 reason startup
businesses fail is that they simply grow too fast, and end up not being
able to provide the level of quality and service that made them
successful to begin with. Holy
Michael E
Gerber, Batman! So let me apologize openly and publicly if we're a
little frazzled and wild-eyed, harried, or even slightly disoriented.
We're working through our growing pains, but always keeping first things
first: safety, exceptional care, and making sure that each dog has a
great time. Judging by the big old goofy smiles at the clip end of leash
(and more than rarely the other end too!), we're still on track. This is
us, living the dream! -- Bev
